Copperas Recovery Plant:
Product- Copperas (FeSO 4 .7H 2 O)
The Copperas Recovery Plant (CRP) envisage the extraction of Copperas (FeSO 4 .7H 2 O) from the in process liquor used for the production of Titanium Dioxide by vacuum crystallization. The plant has the capacity to produce 165 MT copperas per day.
Expected to be commissioned by November 2019
Fibre Grade Plant
Product – Titanium Dioxide pigment (Fibre grade)
Fibre grade Titanium Dioxide pigment is a value addition of the existing product. TTPL developed fibre grade by introducing modifications in process streams and further treatment of TiO2 powder, which will have improved tinting strength and dispersion characteristics. The company could be able to tap the existing domestic market share of approx.4000MT per annum.
Expected to be commissioned by February 2020

TTPL developed the technology for manufacturing of the value-added products from TiO2 process intermediates, by-products and its effluent materials.

4. Inorganic Colored Pigment Plant
5. Hydrated Titania & Lithium Titanate.

TiO2 process intermediates and by-products are the basic raw materials for the manufacture of
various value-added products.

 

Safety and Environment


Safety Management System

TTPL is an ISO 9001:2008 company maintaining highest standards in its product and operations.

Safety Statistics: TTPL was able to keep the frequency ratio and severity ratios of accidents well within the limits.

Safety Committee: TTPL ensures participation and cooperation of all employees in the safety and environment activities through highly efficient and active Safety Committee. The Safety committee includes elected representatives from employees and senior officers.

Training for Employees: Monthly in-house safety trainings were provided to employees to refresh their knowledge about Safety, on-site emergency plan and about use of fire extinguishers.

Motivating Employees: So as to ensure enthusiasm and interest among the employees about safety and environment, every year different campaigns and contests were conducted in the context of safety, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The company also participate in state level competitions organized by National Safety Council and had won many prizes.

Safety Audits: Safety Audits were conducted by external agencies to ensure that our safety system keeps the utmost standards.

Environment

The Factory ensures that all norms laid by the Kerala Pollution Control Board were met.

The exhaust air quality is maintained within standard limits. The company has installed equipments like scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators; bag air filters etc. to ensure the exhaust air quality.

A new state of art effluent treatment plant is nearing completion works.
